Peggy Louise Traynor, 91, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend went to join the glory of her Lord on June 18, 2017.Peggy was born November 12, 1925, to Clarence and Blanche Arabelle Phipps in Wenatchee, Washington. She grew up in Seattle with her brother, J. L. and sister, Patty. They grew up in a home that was very special to Peggy, 911 Broadway, and she never forgot that address and the memories that came with it. She grew to be the most caring and selfless woman that God created. One day, while she was working, a handsome sailor, Robert M. Traynor, recognized the beauty and quality of this woman and they fell in love. They were married for 63 years and had 3 children; Robert Jr., Teresa, and Tim. During their childhood, they had a wonderful and giving mother that could ride a surfboard and rock a swimsuit. Finally, at 83 years old, she retired in the black hills of South Dakota, where she had lived with her beloved husband for 31 years. In 2009, she moved to Midland, Texas to be with her daughter and her family. She was further blessed when she joined Christ Church Anglican, because this is where she fell in love with Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert M. Traynor Sr., her parents Clarence and Blanche Phipps and her brother J. L. Phipps. She is survived by so many that loved her and were blessed by her; including her sons, Robert M. Traynor and his wife Krista, and Timothy Lee Traynor, and her daughter, Teresa Kent and her husband Dale; her grandchildren, Shawn Kent, Denise Vosika, Andrea Cooper, and Alison Sarantakos; her great-grandchildren, Marisa, Luke, Ryleigh, Tyler, Connor, Bryan, Henry, Emma Rose, and Jack; as well as, so many friends and loved ones that are too numerous to name.Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, June 26, 2017 at Christ Church Anglican. The family will receive guests from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. We ask that in lieu of flowers, make donations to Christ Church Anglican of Midland Youth Department in Peggy’s name.“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116:15Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
