Peggy Joyce “Burnett” Christian

Peggy Joyce “Burnett” Christian, 79, of Big Spring, was reunited with her husband on Sunday, February 21, 2021 surrounded by her family.
The family will be having a gathering at their home Saturday, February 27, 2021 after 12:00 pm. Address is 5712 Ranch Road 33 in Big Spring.
She was born September 7, 1941 in Stanford, Texas to parents Oscar and Ethel Burnett. She married the love of her life, Johnnie Christian on March 16, 1957 in Big Spring, Texas. They enjoyed 61 years of blissful marriage together. The love they had for each other was like no other, she was his entire world.
Peggy and Johnnie made a great team raising their 5 sons. There was never a dull moment in her life especially with all the hunting and fishing with her husband and sons. Her biggest joy was loving and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her arms and home were always open to anyone that walked through her door. Peggy was a strong woman, having survived cancer and many other things life threw at her. She was truly loved by everyone around her and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Ethel Burnett; husband, Johnnie Christian; brothers: Melvin Burnett, Billy Burnett, and Doyle Burnett.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Johnny D. Christian of Stewart, Tennessee, Ted Christian and wife Traci of Llano, Texas, Billy W. Christian and wife Renee of Big Spring, Texas, Donny R. Christian and wife Jackie of Portland, Oregon, Tommy G. Christian and wife Teresa of Big Spring, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and counting; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
