Paula Lynn Rud

Paula Lynn Rud, 53, of Midland passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016. No services are being held at this time.Paula was born on March 31, 1962 at Webb Air Force Base in Big Spring, Texas to Donald and Mavis Rud (Cramer). She graduated from Forsan High School and soon after began working for LaQuinta Inns in the Midland and Odessa. She was the assistant manager of LaQuinta and worked with them for 24 years. When she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer she always tried to be uplifting to others regardless of the pain she was experiencing. She loved to crochet hats and shawls for other cancer patients. When all of her options for treatment were exhausted she opted for the care of Home Hospice and received the respectful care and attention she deserved.She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Rud; sister, Sandra Black; brother, Robert Phillips; and grandparents, G.W. and Bertha Carter of Big Spring, Texas.Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Mavis Cramer; sister, Donna Lehenbauer; brother, James Phillips, all of Midland; and numerous aunts, nieces, cousins, and friends.Paula was a cancer survivor for over six years and she requested that uplifting floral arrangements be sent to cancer patients in the hospital or memorial donations be made to the Texas Oncology- Allison Cancer Center, www.texasoncology.com.,
