Paula Susanna Neal, 62, passed away on Friday February 19, 2021 in Dallas, TX after an extended illness.
Paula was born July 3, 1958 in Midland, Texas to John E Neal, Jr and Jene Davis Neal. Paula and her twin sister Pam grew up and attended schools in Midland, but graduated from high school at the U.S. Embassy school in Jakarta, Indonesia while their father was working there as a geophysicist.
Paula graduated from Midland College and later pursued a business career with several Midland companies. She worked for several prominent Midland businesses including Clay-Jon Gas, Permian Telco Credit Union, John Ingram and Associates, and Arnold, Hancock & Wallach, CPA. In recent years, Paula started her own business, a bookkeeping service which had a dedicated clientele including many Midland and Odessa companies and individuals.
Paula was an excellent cook and truly enjoyed experimenting with preparation of exotic recipes from around the world. Her collection of cookbooks and recipes was extensive. Her illness in later years kept her from enjoying many of her favorite dishes but her passion for the culinary craft remained.
Paula was a true animal lover and over the years rescued many dogs and cats. She had a special affinity for her animals and gave each one her special attention.
She was equally dedicated to those closest to her, especially her nephew, Shane Neal to whom she was like a second mother.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, John E Neal and Jene Neal Davis. She is survived by her twin sister Pam Floyd and husband Jeff Floyd of Midland, brother John Eric Neal and wife Kelly McCaslin Neal, and sister Shauna Greenwood of Denver CO., niece Krystl Mireles and husband Caleb of Del Rio, TX. nephew Shane Anthony Neal of San Diego, CA. , cousins Sherry Ladd, Janet Cross, Diana Dickey all of Midland.

Celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 26, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at Resthaven Memorial Park.
