Patricia (Pat) Glover was born June 3, 1938 and left this world to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 3, 2025. She was born in Lubbock but raised mostly in Midland.
She was an only child so her best friends were her mom and her cousins, Connie and Delores. She met her other bestie, Glinda, while in her teens. Pat made friends every day of her life because her love for people was infectious. You didn’t have to know Pat too long for her to treat you like family and if you were young enough, she would love you to call her grandma. Pat was a casual person, but she was anything but casual about her relationships. Whether you were her child or her friend she wanted you to know she truly cared and more importantly that Jesus cared for you. Pat always felt so comforted knowing that our great big God cared for her.
Pat joined her church when she was just 18 years old. There, she has a beautiful family. Over the years, Pat taught Sunday School, was active in women’s ministries and sang in the church choir. We so enjoyed going to the Christmas cantatas. Just this past fall, Pat stuffed popcorn bags for the back-to-school bash and then greeted everyone with her beautiful smile. Though she would serve in any capacity at the church, Pat was a prayer warrior, especially for her children.
That said, Pat’s greatest accomplishment was that of Mom. Her boys, Tracy and Terry, were the twinkle in her eye and her daughter, Teresa, was her best friend and shopping partner extraordinaire. Tracy and Susan gave her two amazing grandsons who went on to provide her with four great grandchildren. Even to her last days she took such great joy in simply watching them play in the pool, coloring with them or having playdough play dates! Nothing brought her more joy! When she was first diagnosed with cancer, she wanted to fight “because I have grandkids.” In the end, she was just too tired.
Pat worked at several banks in Midland and eventually retired from Community National Bank at the age of 75. Her job was so much more than just a job as she considered her coworkers and customers as family. Everywhere Pat went she would run into folks who knew her from the bank and reminiscing would always put a smile on her face. Pat was an artist and crafter. She painted, made jewelry, greeting cards, photo albums and books and loved to make her wreaths for every holiday or season.
Pat is survived by her three children, Tracy (Susan) Glover, Terry Glover and Teresa (Bryan) Lamar, her two grandsons, Tyler (Jacey) and Cade (Reannah) and her four great grandchildren, Tildyn, Everley, Callahan and Macklyn. She is preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Audas, father, Stan Audas and countless other loved ones.
