Norma Louise (Rogers) Johnson went to be with her Lord & Savior on February 7, 2014.Norma was born on November 9, 1922 in San Angelo, Texas to Ruby and Norman Rogers, Sr. She grew up in San Angelo and attended San Angelo College. She met and married the love of her life, Thomas Reed Johnson who was stationed at Goodfellow Air Force Base.After the war she resided in San Angelo, Colorado City, and Vernon before moving to Midland in 1950. After moving to Midland Norma joined Belview Baptist Church and later became a charter member of Crestview Baptist Church. She spent many years as a Sunday School teacher. Norma enjoyed music, played the piano and spent many years in the Crestview Choir. She especially enjoyed the Christmas and Easter Celebrations (Cantatas).Norma was a homemaker and mother of three children and numerous dogs and cats. She also worked for several companies, including many years for Chamness Plumbing as secretary and bookkeeper. She enjoyed working with her husband at Fiddles Unique in Midland.Norma is preceded in death by both parents and one child, Norman Rogers, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories, a sister, Frances Teller of Alamorgodo, NM. Also sons, Jerry Guy Johnson and wife Joan Johnson of Midland, TX, Richard Thomas Johnson and wife Almarie of Knoxville, TN and daughter, Celia Gayle Rivera and Husband, Richard Rivera of Parker, PA.Other survivors include grandchildren, Jessica Johnson, Misty Yates, Mandy Marquez, Phillip Yates, Aaron Johnson, Jared Johnson, Jake Johnson, Christine Huerta, Traci Lydic and David Lewellen and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Also Johnson family members with many nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 7:00-9:00PM Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 2:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel with Dr. John Gerlach officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.,
