It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Nelda Jean (Jeanne) Pardue on July 23, 2024. A good and faithful servant to her Lord and Savior, she finished her race here on Earth with the same quiet strength she showed us throughout her life. Jeanne’s memory will forever be held in admiration by those who had the privilege to love, and be loved by her.
Jeanne’s life was a testament to love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family. She was born in Midland, Texas, on December 9, 1940, to David and Ella Whitmore. Jeanne married her beloved husband, Howell Pardue, on January 29, 1960, and together they built a beautiful life full of joy, faith, and countless cherished memories. Hal and Jeanne were blessed with a full life that generations of love was born of.
Jeanne’s greatest joy in life came from being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She had an incredible gift for making everyone around her feel seen, special, and loved. Her home was always a warm, welcoming place where family gathered for holidays, celebrations, and ordinary days filled with laughter and love.
To know Jeanne was to understand the depth of her dedication to her faith. She was the strongest prayer warrior who walked through every challenge in her life with an unwavering conviction of God’s love. Her steady, loving, and gracious spirit was a true mirror of the endearment she found in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Jeanne was predeceased by and is now forever with her husband, Howell Pardue. She is survived by her sister, Linda Fussell, loving daughters, Darla Baccus and Julie Golden and husband Greg. She is also survived by 6 cherished grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service for Jeanne will be held at 10:00 AM on July 26, 2024, at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Menard Cowboy Church in Menard, Texas, a place near and dear to the hearts of her family.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support. We are forever changed by the loss of such a special woman.
