Nancy Elaine Hernandez, 69 of Odessa, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021. The family will receive visitors from 9:00am – 11:00am, Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel.

Nancy was born on January 15, 1952 in Pecos, Texas to Jim and Mary Lou Rosson. Nancy grew up in Pecos and graduated from Pecos High School in 1970. Soon after, she moved to Odessa, Texas. She was employed by Phillips Petroleum/DCP Midstream for over 30 years in administrative personnel. She retired in January of 2015. She was a long time member of Crossroads Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and baking, gardening, trips to Ruidoso, and shopping.

Nancy is survived by her husband Joe Hernandez of Odessa, two children, daughter Sarah Brooks of Abilene, and son Matthew Hernandez of Odessa. She is also survived by five grandchildren Chase and Colton Brooks, Levi, Cheyenne, and Rosemary Hernandez, and two brothers Roddy Rosson and John Rosson of Oklahoma.

Nancy is preceded in death by her father and mother Jim and Mary Lou Rosson and her granddaughter Katelynn Brooks.

The family would like to express their gratitude towards the wonderful staff of Covenant Specialty Hospital in Lubbock.

Nancy was always kind, caring, & fun to be around. My dad “Hugh Don” always said she looked like Elizabeth Taylor. I really enjoyed the holidays our families spent together.
