The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday, January 28, 2007 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory, 3800 N Big Spring Street in Midland.Mona was born on December 15, 1920 to Nathan and Cora Heidelberg in Midland. She was married to Walker A. Dunn, Sr. and Senator W.A. Shofner. They both preceded Mona in death.Mona was co-owner of Dunn's Moving and Storage in Midland. While she was an active member of the Altrusca Club of Midland, Mona held various offices. She was a leader for six years and a Den Mother for two years for the Girl Scouts. She was a room mother and President of the P.T.A. at West Elementary. She was a 1939 graduate of Midland High School.Survivors include a daughter & son-in-law, Sharon Dunn and Homer Riley of Austin; a son & daughter-in-law, Walker A., Jr. and Pat Dunn of Midland; a stepdaughter & son-in-law, Carolyn Shofner and Frank McReynolds of Tucson, Arizona; a stepdaughter & son-in-law, Diana Shofner and John Lamphear of Leander, Texas; a stepson & daughter-in-law, David and Marion Shofner of Pflugerville, Texas; five grandchildren, Susan Dunn of Leander, Texas, Aaron Dunn of Lubbock, Michelle Riley Edwards of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Arthur and Annie Kettlehut of Katy, Texas; two great grandchildren, Pearce and Annie Edwards of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and a brother, Woody Heidelberg and his wife, Eugenia of Stanton.Mona was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Annie Dunn Ford and a sister, Alta Henry.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
