Melissa Ann \Missy\ Loveless, 43, of Midland, Texas, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Midland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring, Texas, with Pastor Brian Loveless of Calvary Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the 3:00 PM service time Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.Melissa was born April 26, 1972 and raised in Big Spring, Texas. A proud graduate of Big Spring High School’s Class of 1990, she afterward attended Howard College in Big Spring, Texas, followed by Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. After leaving the University, she was a resident of Prague, Oklahoma for a time. On April 12, 1996, Melissa gave birth to her beloved son Taylor in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Two years after Taylor's birth, Melissa moved briefly to San Benito, Texas, and from there settled in Harlingen, Texas, where she would later work as a well-liked and much-respected Administrative Specialist at Kohl's department store. In September of 2012, she relocated to Midland, Texas, to be near her future husband. On February 14, 2015, in Grand Prairie, Texas, she married her soulmate, Steve Loveless.Missy had a personality bigger than life itself. She counted many as friends and loved ones, and she would do anything to help those in need. She loved to laugh and to make others laugh, and she brought joy and warmth to the people around her. She was an avid animal-lover. She had many interests, including cats, the Miami Dolphins, and showing pride for her Marine son. She loved, and was loved by, her many, many friends from many different places and all walks of life.Survivors include her husband, Steve Loveless of Midland, Texas; one son, Taylor Webster of Camp Pendleton, California; her step-father, Wayne Bartlett of Big Spring; a step-daughter, Stephanie Anchondo of Big Spring; and her three cats, Ratito, Arctic, and Sox.She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Mary Ellen Camp Bartlett.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
