Mauro Juárez Zúñiga III, AKA Chato, age 41, was born on August 30, 1982, in Midland, Tx. He passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023.
The simplest pleasures in life brought joy to Chato. Family, good food, and a cold one in his hand was his favorite pastime. He loved cooking on Sunday night football while cheering on the Patriots, because he knew it would bring his people together… And when them Patriots had a good season, he made sure his cousins were well aware. His laughter, handsome smile, and brilliant mind will forever live on in our memories.
He is survived by his children, Mauro Zúñiga IV, Yazmaree Zúñiga, his parents, Mauro Zúñiga Jr., Martha Juárez Zúñiga, his sister, Yvette Zúñiga Bañuelos (Alan Bañuelos), his grandson Mauro Zúñiga V. He is preceded in death by his brother, Manuel Rafael Ortega, and his grandmother Cesaria Hernandez Juarez. Family, friends, and others whose lives Chato touched are invited to attend the services listed below to grieve and support each other.
A viewing will be held from 8:00am – 9:00pm, Monday, December 11, 2023 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
