Mary Joe Harland, 91, of Big Spring, died Saturday, December 23, 2017 in a Lubbock hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr. Sandy Sandlin officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.She was born April 18, 1926 in Stanton, Texas and married Grady Lee Harland March 6, 1948 in Big Spring. He preceded her in death in 1988. Mrs. Harland was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and took great pride in her home. She enjoyed playing bridge and other card games. She was a member of First Christian Church.Survivors include her son, Mike Harland and wife, Katrina of Lewisville; her daughter, Khenda Davis and husband, Malcolm of Galveston; four grandchildren, Brock Davis, Brooke Davis, Christopher Harland and Luke Harland; and a sister, Katherine Hudgins of Abilene.She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Beulah Morrison.The family suggests memorials to First Christian Church, 911 Goliad St., Big Spring, Texas 79720.
