Mary Helen Perez

Mary H. Perez, 68, of Big Spring, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022. Funeral Mass will be 10am, Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

She will lie in state from 1pm to 9pm, Sunday, December 18, 2022 and Monday, December 19, 2022 from 8am to 7pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.

Mary was born July 1, 1954 in Big Spring, Texas to Frederico M. and Elvira A. (Alvarez) Olivas. She was a lifetime resident of Big Spring. Mary worked at the Big Spring State Hospital for many years. She married Jesse Perez June 25, 2016. Mary enjoyed TexMex music. She loved her Bible, praising the Lord and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren, traveling, and her family.

Mary is survived by her husband Jesse; two daughters: Leticia Rodriguez (Jesse) and Cynthia Urias (Josh) and one son: Gabriel Hernandez; two sisters: Irene (John) Dominguez and Sylvia Rodriguez (Joe) and one brother: Edward (Linda) Olivas; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Fred Olivas, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Eric Sanchez, Henry Sanchez III, Chris Dominguez, Jesus Rodriguez, Josh Urias and Edward Olivas Jr.

Friends may pay their respects to the family at 1507 Vines Ave.
