Mary Frances Boyd Osborn was called to her Heavenly home on October 4, 2010.She was born at home on July 24, 1926, to Zelma & Walter Davis in Scurry County. She attended Crowder Elementary and Snyder High School.Mary Frances was always, first and foremost, a Christian. She lived her life as an example of God's Love, forgiveness and compassion. She gave those around her a wonderful path to follow. She was a member of Fairmont Park Church of Christ. She taught in their bus ministry and sang at the nursing homes. She was a poet and wonderful letter writer. If you had a crisis in your life, and you knew Frances, you would receive an awesome letter filled with encouragement, and scripture to lighten your burden.Frances would tell you that she had been richly blessed with two wonderful husbands that loved her dearly.In 1943, she married J.D. Boyd in Snyder, Texas. They were happily married 35 years. J.D. passed away of cancer in 1978. God then blessed her with another Christian man, Lowell Glen Osborn. They were blessed to have 31 years together.Frances had two children, Jimmy Don and Shirley Ann. The loves of her life were her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, J.D.; son Jimmy Don, and grandson, Jimmy Marvin Boyd, three brothers, and two sisters, and a step-daughter, Kay Osborn.She is survived by her loving husband, Glen Osborn; daughter, Shirley Ann Childers Halbert and her husband Nick, of Midland; grandchildren, Bill Childers, Jr and wife Karen; great grandchildren, Hailey and Ali of Midland; Stephanie Gwinn and her husband Steve; great grandchildren, Noah, Josh, Cloe, and Cameron of Lewisville, Texas; daughter-in-law, Bata Boyd of Mineral Wells; grandchildren Parisa Lerma and husband Gilbert of Mineral Wells, great grandchildren J.C. Jackson, Kyndall Jackson, and her son great great grandson Cainan of Mineral Wells, Allison Jackson of Dallas, Jay Boyd and wife Tymmie, great grandchildren Jacob and Jordan of Mineral Wells, Amy Young and husband Christ, great grandchildren Hallie and Allyssa of Mansfield, Texas; step-daughter, Linda Hicks and husband Kyle of Bonham; grandchildren Mechelle Tourney and husband Chris, great grandchild Logan of Carrollton; Jammie Hicks-Chaney and husband Darrin, great grandchildren Ryan, Will, and Dori of Athens, Texas; step-son, Mark Osborn of San Angelo, grandchild Crystal Osborn, great grandchildren, Haley and Sunny of Odessa; Kay's children, Misty Davis, grandchildren Damian and Jared; Melissa Davis, great grandchildren Cloe and Areal.Pallbearers will be Mike Brumley, Pat Darden, Mark Elliott, Jack Estes, Bill Hill, and Bryan Mason.Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Childers, Jr, Steve Gwinn, Jay Boyd, Gilbert Lerma, Mark Osborn, and Kyle Hicks.Funeral services will be Saturday, October 9, 2010, at 10:00 AM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel, with Don Mitchell, officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, Midland.Visitation will be at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Friday, October 8, 2010, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.The family suggests memorials be made to Home Hospice of Midland, 901 W.
