Mary Johnson Cosby, 73 of Midland, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017. The viewing will be from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Services will be at 1:00 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel on Thursday, March 16, 2017. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.Mary was born on May 1, 1942 in San Diego, California to Ed Johnson and Vondell Barnes and married Bert Cosby, April 25, 1959. He preceded her in death, April 21, 2016.Mary loved our Lord and Savior and was very involved with Home Line Baptist Church of Midland. Mary held various administration jobs during her life however her favorite “job” was caring for and holding all her 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She loved those babies. Mary enjoyed reading her Bible, spending time with friends, sewing, knitting and playing cards with her family.Mary is survived by daughters Angela Musso and husband Steve, Vikie Cockrell and husband Mark, and Laura Walker; grandchildren Jessica Glenn and husband Heath, Dustie Howell and husband Sean, Ashley Hund and husband Andy, Amy Musso, Steven Musso, Logan Walker, Hunter Williams and William Walker; great grandchildren Paige Glenn, Sarah Glenn, Garrett Glenn, Dylan Bradford, Jake Hund and Angie Hund; brother, Edward Johnson and wife Betty, sisters Marvelle Lunn, Richetta Johnson and Gayle Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband, she is also preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Cosby Hobbs, her sister Sue Conley, and her parents Ed Johnson and Vondell Barnes.The family would like to express their gratitude towards Paula Smith, Shirley Reeves, Yvonne Snitker Pastor Rob Foreman, and Home Hospice.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Liver Foundation.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
