Marvin Dale Lind

Marvin Dale Lind, 73, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at home.Marvin was born August 7, 1933 in Enterprise, Kansas. He served in the United States Navy for twenty years. He married Beverly Welsh on December 24, 1957 in Suffolk, Virginia. They have lived in the Odessa community since 1982. Marvin loved to read and possessed a great sense of humor.Survivors include his wife, Beverly of Odessa; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cindy Lind of Odessa; a daughter and son-in-law, Fawn and Domingo Torres of Odessa; four grandchildren, Jason and Brian Schaffter of Odessa, Porsche Lind of Denton and Michael Lind of Odessa; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Dent and Marge Simone of McPherson, Kansas; and one brother, Wayne Lind of Yuma, Arizona. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Arvid B. and Vera Book Lind.The family gives special thanks to the staff at Odyssey Health Care in Odessa for their care and compassion.
