Martha “Nana” Anne Nix

Martha “Anne” Nix (Nana) was born on February 7th, 1938, in Denton, TX. She went to be with our Lord on Saturday June 11th, 2022 at the age of 84. She was married to her soul mate L.G. Nix December 25th, 1955, who preceded her in death on January 1st, 1994.

She was a homemaker to eight children who she loved more than life itself. She was a shining star with her gorgeous smile and beautiful soul. She loved her Lord, her children, and her grandchildren more than anything in the world. She was the strongest person any of us had ever met and with that strength she would fight and protect anyone she loved. She was our family’s superhero and the glue that held us all together.

Some of her hobbies included gardening, fishing and of course, spending time with her family. Holidays were always a favorite time of year for her. She loved watching the grandkids run wild around the house while all the women were in the kitchen preparing the food and the men sitting in the living room watching football. She was always so happy and full of life that she wanted everyone around her to feel the same. With her loss our family will always be missing a piece of our hearts. We are so thankful that God blessed us with one of his angels and we know that she is now finally Home.

Preceded in death by her soul mate L.G. Nix of Big Spring, TX; daughter Teresa and Wayne Brockman of Big Spring, TX; Stormee Nix of Big Spring, TX; grandson Jerry Mintz of Andrews, TX; grandson Keagan Earls of Big Spring, TX; mother Johnny Maxwell of Wichita Falls, TX; father Carl Murphy of El Paso, TX; son-in-law Bobby Beall of Big Spring, TX.

The family will receive friends from 6:30pm until 8:00pm Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11:00am Thursday at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.

Graveside will be reserved for family only following the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers the family asked for donations to be made to American Cancer Society.
