Marilyn Lavern Lewis, 61, has been called home on Wednesday, July 8th, 2015 in Odessa, Texas. She was born on December 30th, 1953 in Big Spring, Texas to Sammy and Vernell (Jolley) Hunt.Marilyn was a member of Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C. and worked for Wells Fargo Bank in which she received several awards of recognition. Marilyn enjoyed taking care of her family, giving to all in need, shopping, decorating, movies, traveling and gospel music.Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, Sammy Hunt Sr.; her sister, Linda Howell and her great grandchild, Camyla Booth whom she is now taking care of like she did her other grandchildren.Those left to cherish her sweet memories are: her mother, Vernell Hunt; her daughters: Keysha Guerrero of Midland, Texas; W. Olivia Branch of Mansfield, Texas and LaEngland Lewis of Colorado City, Texas; her sisters: Sandra Barber of Midland, TX, Velma Jackson of Midland, TX, April Jordan of Fort Worth, TX, Catherine Hunt, and Stephanie Hunt of Temple, TX; her brothers: Boe Glasschild of Flint, MI, Allen Hunt of Sakara, Sweden, Cornell Hunt of Midland, TX, Randell Hunt of Dallas, TX, and Sammy Hunt of Oceanside, CA; Her grandchildren: Ebone McAfee, J’shon Lewis, Jalen Giles, JeQuaria Lewis, TreAnthony Guerrero, A’vier Guerrero, Kevante Giles, Destinee Lewis and Darius Lewis; her great-grandchildren Jayden Johnson, Javayya Lewis, MyHeavanz Williams, MaKenzie Booth, and Dominique Ausbie.The family will receive guests at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home, 3800 N. Big Spring St. Midland, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015. Her heavenly home going celebration will be Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C., 1605 N. Terrell St, Midland. Burial services will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens, 6800 State Hwy 349, Midland. The family will be greeting friends and relatives where food will be served at Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C., 1605 N. Terrell St, Midland following the burial.
