Marilyn Carr

Marilyn Carr, 72, of Stanton, died on Monday, February 4, 2002 in a Midland hospital. Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 7, 2002, at Evergreen Cemetery, with Rev. David Harp, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. She was born on September 12, 1929 in Hillsboro, Texas and married William P. Carr on July 28, 1962 in Stanton, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1976. Marilyn came to the Stanton community in 1934. She enjoyed life and her family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, Bobby McCormick of Big Spring; one daughter, Peggy Smith of Stanton; one sister, Billie McFarlin of Coalinga California; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Alton Lee,
