Marie Norman

Marie (Evans) Norman, 96, of Big Spring and formally of Odessa, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022. No services are planned.

Marie was born July 14, 1926, in Brady, Texas to parents RH Evans and Lera (Thomas) Evans. She married the love of her life Dick Norman December 28, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas. They were married for 54 years. Mom loved her family most of all, and all their friends which became part of the family. She became known to all as Mom, Momma, Momma Marie, Grandma, or Speedy. Other favorites were gardening, traveling, bonfires and going out to eat and ordering her Margaritas. Her favorite saying was “Count your many blessings, count them one by one, count your many blessings and see what God has done!”

She is survived by daughters Sherry White of Big Spring and Tanada Whisenhunt and her husband Ray of Bedford, a sister Pat Holland Freyaldenhoven of Houston; 3 grandchildren: Richard Dunn and his wife Dee of Indiana, Amy Parks and her husband Greg of Midland and Michael Whisenhunt of Waco, 6 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.

Mom is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dick Norman, brother Robert Evans, and great-great grandson Colton Dunn.

In lieu of flowers, our family asks that you give to your favorite organizations, Home Hospice of Big Spring or Big Spring Senior Citizens.
