Maria Gardea

Maria Gardea nació en El Porvenir, Distrito Bravo, Chihuahua, México el día 2 de enero de 1939. Sus padres fueron Alfonso Arellano y Maria Lopez. Tuvo la dicha de ser madre de 8 hijos: Manuel, Virginia†, Jesus, Jose Luis, Diego, Fernando†, Teresa, y Guadalupe.

De joven fue trabajadora de campo y en su edad mas avanzada se dedico al hogar, a sus hijos y después sus nietos y bisnietos.

A Maria le fascinaba tener plantas. Ella pasaba tiempo en el riego y cuidado de ellas dentro de su hogar y en el jardín.

El día 5 de junio a las 2:30 pm, tomo su último aliento aquí en la tierra.

Le sobreviven 6 hijos, 31 nietos, 55 bisnietos, y muchos sobrinos que extrañarán a su ser querida.

Maria Gardea was born in El Porvenir, Distrito Bravo, Chihuahua, Mexico, on January 2, 1939. Her parents were Alfonso Arellano and Maria Lopez. She was blessed to be the mother of eight children: Manuel, Virginia†, Jesus, Jose Luis, Diego, Fernando†, Teresa, and Guadalupe.

As a young woman, she worked as a farmworker, and in later life, she dedicated herself to her home, her children, and later her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Maria loved having plants. She spent time watering and caring for them inside her home and in the garden.

On June 5, at 2:30 pm, she took her last breath here on earth.

She is survived by six children, 31 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and nieces who will miss their loved one. Maria Gardea’s funeral services will be as follows:

Visitation: Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. – Nalley, Pickle, Welch Funeral Home – 3800 N Big Spring St., Midland, TX 79705

Dismissal Service: Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

Departure will be at 11:00 a.m. for Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 6800 S Hwy 349, Midland, TX 79706
