Margie M. Mermis, 83 of Las Cruces, formerly of Midland, passed away on May 1, 2011 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May14, 2011, at 11:00 am at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Margie volunteered for the Allison Cancer Center where she started the "Look Good Feel Good Shop". She was a catholic.Survivors include her daughters, Candace M. Kinsey of Las Cruces, NM, Emilia Suzanne Brantley of Southlake; three brothers, Irvin Hopson, of Oklahoma, Robert Hopson of Texas and Lloyd Hopson of Florida; grandsons, Jospeh Henley of Bedford, Lloyd Henley of Colleyville, and Jason Bragg of Chicago, IL; great granddaughters, Skylar Henley of Bedford, Tagan Henley of Bedford, Kayla Henley of Colleyville; great grandson, Aaron Bragg of Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Mermis, son, Michael Mermis, brothers, Charles, Vernon and Bill Hopson, sister, Emma Scott, and her parents, Ervin and Edith Hopson.
