Margaret Anne Tucker McLaughlin, 93 of Midland, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023, surrounded by her family. A celebration of life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Manor Park, Parks-Faudree Chapel.
Anne was born on September 4, 1929 in Houston, Texas to Sybil Winn and Robert C. Tucker.
She attended Christian College in Columbia, MO (later became Columbia College) from 1946-48 and graduated from the University of Oklahoma where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was married to James D. (Jim) McLaughlin on Oct., 20, 1951 until his death in 2017. Anne served on the Alter Guild for many years at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity where she was a member.
Anne is survived by sons John McLaughlin of Dallas, Steve McLaughlin (wife, Linda) of Midland, David McLaughlin (wife, Elizabeth) of Houston, and Tom McLaughlin of Houston. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Robert McLaughlin, Daniel McLaughlin (wife, Claire), Greg McLaughlin, Michael McLaughlin (wife, Jenna), Stephanie McLaughlin, Rachel Stitzel (husband, Jed), Joe McLaughlin, William McLaughlin (wife, Heather), Patrick McLaughlin and six great grandchildren: Charlotte, Alaina and Madeline McLaughlin and Samantha, Sawyer and Cassie Stitzel and numerous friends.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents and husband, James D. McLaughlin.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards the staff at Hospice of Midland, hospital staff at Midland Memorial, Bill Billet, Chaplain at Manor Park and especially the wonderful caring staff at Manor Park and fellow residents.
Anne’s legacy is a tremendous one. We are all better for having known her and she will be remembered for her kindness, joy, sweet spirit and love for God and people. She made it a point to know people by name and cared about them and their family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Midland, Manor Park and Permian Basin Area Foundation.
