Manuela Salcido Cantu
June 8, 1944 – June 24, 2024
Manuela has gone home to our Heavenly Father. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, sister, and friend. She was born on June 8, 1944, to Dulces and Simona Salcido. She is survived by four daughters, Marta Valles (Jesse), Araceli Martinez (Alfredo), Tomasita Gomez (Raul), Rosa Valenzuela and one son, Javier Valenzuela. She is preceded in death by Juan Cantu (husband), Felix Valenzuela (son) and Justin Dean Cox (grandson) and many wonderful and beautiful grandkids and great grandkids.
Manuela (known as Nela to everyone who came into her life), had a remarkable gift of connecting with everyone she met. Nela loved her family and most of all, she loved the Lord. She was a faithful Catholic and a member of St. Stephen’s where she was the coordinator of the Holy Rosary group. She was a woman who was able to overcome obstacles and challenges throughout her life’s journey. She was resilient, our own Superhero, our WONDERWOMAN!
A mother’s love is beyond words and losing her is one of the most profound sorrows our hearts can comprehend. She was wonderful in the way that she would always give her support, wisdom, and love in abundance.
Mother, you left us with cherished memories, your love is still our guide and even though we cannot see you, you are always going to be at our side.
You left a legacy that we will carry with honor and pride!
