*Media Obituary*Manuel "Manny" McLemore, 63, of Midland, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2004, at Midland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, September 3, 2004 at Stonegate Fellowship Church in Midland, with Reverend Patrick Payton, pastor , officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.Manny was born on November 8, 1940, in Gracemont, Oklahoma to C.J. McLemore and Delphia (Williams) McLemore. Manny and Sammie Whitfield were married on December 18, 1959 in Gracemont, Oklahoma He served his country in the United States Army from 1958 until his honorable discharge in 1962. For part of that time, he was stationed in Germany. He and Sammie have lived in Midland since 1969. Manny was a member of Stonegate Fellowship Church in Midland.For 14 years, Manny had owned and operated Sandy Land, a western clothing store in Midland. He had worked for FloCo2 in Odessa for the last 10 years, and he was very passionate about his work. Manny began his career with FloCo2 as a truck driver and was promoted several times. He ended his career as an operations manager. During his last year with FloCo2, Manny was diagnosed with cancer. He even worked while having his chemotherapy treatments, and Manny was the source of great inspiration to those he worked with. He was a born leader in his personal life, military career, and his professional life as well, and he will be missed by those that knew and loved him.He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.Manny is survived by his loving wife, Sammie, of Midland, two sons: Jeff and wife Diane McLemore, and Barry McLemore, all of Midland, two grandchildren: Heather and Josh McLemore of Midland, a brother: Wilford and wife, Betty, McLemore, a sister Ruby Stevens, all of Gracemont, Oklahoma, an Uncle, Tom and wife Frankie Williams of Hobbs, New Mexico , and several nieces and nephews.The family suggests memorials to The American Cancer Society, 2304 W.
