Lucy Isela Perez, 51 of Midland, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 surrounded by her family. A viewing will be held from 8:00am—9:00pm, Wednesday August 11, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel with worship and prayer to be held at 7:00 p.m. Memorial service will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Harvest Time Church. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
Lucy was born on March 10, 1970 in El Paso, Texas to Anna Maria and Eloy Perez.
Lucy graduated from Midland High School class of 89’, she loved to be with her family. As a child she loved to be with her daddy, family and cherished the moments they would spend at Lake Amistad. She was very creative, she loved to decorate for all occasions. She would go all out for all her kids and grandkids birthday’s. She always wanted everyone to feel special. She never missed her grandson’s sports events. She had the best shoulder to cry on and ears to listen with. She was very involved in her church and loved God with all her heart. She started working at JCP as an associate, worked her way up to supervisor and her final position there was Human Resources. She gave 25 yrs to JCP.
Lucy is survived by her beloved daughters Julie Ramirez (Raul Ramirez) and Araceli Rodriquez. Her beloved son Anthony Salinas. Her beloved grandchildren Raul Ramirez Jr., Adalie Ramirez, and Ezekiel Ramirez. Her beloved fiancé Nick Rodriquez and his parents Walle and Angela Martinez. Her beloved mom Anna Maria Perez and her beloved brother Eloy Perez. Her maternal grandma Esperanza Andrade. Her beloved best friend Rebecca Zuniga. Numerous brothers and sister-in laws, nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends which she loved dearly and all had a special place in her heart.
Lucy is preceded in death by her sister Edna Perez, her dad Eloy Perez, her maternal grandpa and paternal grandparents and her nephew Jesse Edward Avila.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards MD Anderson, Texas Oncology, Midland Memorial Hospital, Harvest Time Church family, JC Penny, and to everyone that continued to pray for her and her family.
