Lucille Patterson, 81, of Midland passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 2:00PM at Cotton Flat Baptist Church with Pastors Rick Holeman and Aaron Wills officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.Lucille was born on January 25, 1933 to Eddie and Vera Blackburn in Vera, Texas. She married her soul mate, Thomas Junior Patterson, in 1949 and shared 22 wonderful years with him before his passing in March of 1971. Together they raised six children, Melton, Tommy, Ronnie, Brenda, Paula and Trish. She worked at Midland Memorial Hospital for 35 years as a Surgical Scrub Technician before retiring in 1998. She was a kind hearted woman with a love for gardening, fishing, board games and card games. Family always came first and she always made sure to spend all the quality time she could with them. She loved unconditionally and was an amazing grandmother to her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.Left to cherish her memory are her children, Melton Patterson (Becky), Tommy Patterson (Barbara), Ronnie Patterson (Rhonda), Brenda Willingham, Paula Harrison (Kevin), and Trish Robles (Roland). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, and several friends who all loved her very much.She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Junior Patterson.Pallbearers for the service will be Melton Patterson, Tommy Patterson, Ronnie Patterson, Clifton Blackburn, Kevin Harrison, and Mike Woods. Her grandsons will all be honorary pallbearers.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Midland, PO Box 2621, Midland, TX 79702, (432) 682-2855.,

I moved up to Oklahoma, and moved home , hoping to connect once again.
