Lucille Mundell Nichols passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 20, 2020, from 6-8 pm at Nalley Pickle and Welch Funeral Home in Big Spring, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at Mt. Olive Memorial Park Chapel.Lucille was born on February 20, 1933, to John and Ethel Mundell in Lamesa, Texas. Lucille married Donald “Tink” Nichols on June 24, 1950, in Big Spring Texas. They were married for 64 years. Lucille was a farmer’s wife and a homemaker for the majority of her life. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to watching her grandkids.She is survived by her daughters Sandra Hodnett of Big Spring and Tammy Dyer of Austin; sons David Nichols and wife, Leah of Bandera, and Chad Nichols and wife, Jackie of Big Spring; grandchildren Jason Hodnett and wife, Jenny, Mandy Anderson and husband, Phillip, Natalie Baldwin and husband, Jack, Kaitlyn Nichols, and Reagan Nichols; and 6 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Nichols; her parents John and Ethel Mundell; brothers Jack Mundell, Buster Mundell, and Don Mundell; sisters Inez Vegso and Bernice Hardison; son-in-law Freddie Hodnett; and daughter-in-law Diana Nichols.The family would like to thank Lonnie Cantu and Marcy Hernandez for all the love and care they provided Lucille.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley Pickle and Welch Funeral Home and Crematory of Big Spring.Online condolences may be made at www.npwelch.com.,
