Louise Lanham-Fincher, 96, of Midland and formerly of Ft. Stockton, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2004 at her residence at Manor Park. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at the Manor Park Chapel in Midland with Dr. Jon Deily, pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Midland, officiating. Interment will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at Easthill Cemetery in Ft. Stockton, with Rev. James Miles, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Ft. Stockton officiating.Louise Lanham was born on September 17, 1907 , in Sherman, TX, to the late Robert and Emma (Sommerfeldt) Lanham.Louise married Melbourne Fincher on August 16, 1927. He preceded her in death. She had lived in Midland for 19 years, moving here from Ft. Stockton where she and Melbourne had owned and operated the Deluxe Motel. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ft. Stockton and currently a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Midland. Louise loved to play bridge and host dinner parties.Surviving Louise is her daughter-in-law, Rita Fincher of Lafayette, LA, six grandchildren, Gail Fincher-Koskie Aguirre of San Angelo, Lisa Caldwell of Lafayette, La, Eric Lehmann, Michelle Hancox, of Lafayette, La, Leska Lehmann-McCall of Austin, TX, and Jay Fincher of Lafayette, LA. , several great-granchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Sharon Fincher-Lehmann, and a son, Michael Fincher.
