Lee Reese, 91, of Comanche, passed away January 4, 2017. Celebration of life services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Comanche, Texas officiated by Brother Van Christian.Lee was born in Comanche County on February 6, 1925 to Admour Dewey and Lura Mae (Wilson) Reese. He grew up in the Van Dyke community in Comanche County where he attended school and graduated from Comanche High School. He married Nita Ruth Jones on June 17, 1950 in Comanche. Lee served our Country in the Army as a Medic at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, DC and Japan. He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church in Midland for 30 years and a Member of the Lions Club. After 30 years of owning Lee Reese Appliance in Midland, he retired to his lake home in Comanche where he continued to work on the land and raise cattle. He was a Deacon at First Baptist Church in Comanche and a Master Mason 32nd Degree of Lodge #623. Lee’s greatest joy in life was working on the ranch with his cattle, spending time with his family, and especially being DaDa to his six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.Lee is survived by daughter Donna Swanger and husband Weldon of Brownwood; daughter Judy Newton of Midland; grandchildren Brandon Moss & wife Shelby and their children Reese and Will; Ryan Swanger and wife Shay and their children Henry and Beckett; Lacy Lange and husband David and their children Sutton and Reed; Allison Newton; Jeremy Newton and wife Megan and their children Cameron, Jacob and Charlotte; Lori Newton; Brother, Odell Reese and his wife Myrlene of Comanche; sister-in-law, Neta Reese of Abilene.Lee is preceded in death by his wife, Nita Ruth Jones Reese; parents, Lura and Admour Reese; daughter, Cindy Reese Moss; brother, U.V. Reese; son-in-law, John Newton.The family suggests memorials be donated to Brother Bob Porterfield for his longtime friendship at West Kentucky Baptist Church, 1507 W.
