Services will follow from 11 AM – 12 PM. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Leah was born on March 21st, 1963 in Coahuila, Mexico to Benardino and Herculana Gamboa. As a child, Leah and her family moved to Midland, TX where she eventually met the love of her life, her husband, Joe Bejil. They were married on June 2, 1979 and had three children, Jose Luis Bejil, Christopher Bejil, and Alexandria Bejil. Professionally, Leah worked as a medical office administrator for several doctors in Midland, but her true passion and calling was serving the Lord through her church. Over the years, Leah touched countless lives as a generous, selfless, and unrelenting disciple of Christ. Doing God’s will was always so much more important for Leah than having a title or position. She faithfully served in every role where there was a need (cooking, cleaning, decorating, planning, leading, praying, evangelizing, counselor, minister). She lived her life as an example to those who knew her and never hesitated to help those in need, regardless of her own personal circumstance. Leah’s connection to God through prayer and meditation was unquestionable and was the foundation of who she was as a person.
Leah is survived by her husband, Joe Bejil; her son, Jose Luis Bejil and his family, Wainann Bejil, Jillian Bejil, Joseline Bejil, and Ian Bejil; her son, Christopher Bejil and his family, Kassi Bejil, Kason Long, Caydee Bejil, Khloe Bejil, and Karter Bejil; and her daughter, Alexandria Bejil. Additionally, Leah is survived by her father, Benardino Gamboa; one brother, Efren Gamboa; and seven sisters, Raquel Diaz, Lisa Zaragoza, Ruth Onate, Noemi Reyes, Ester Marquez, Anna Frausto, and Judith Silva.
Leah is preceded in death by her mother, Herculana Gamboa and her parents-in-law, Jose Bejil and Brijida Bejil.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards all her friends and family who supported her during her illness and her family now during this difficult time. Leah is celebrating the victories of life in heaven with her creator and would want everyone to know that God is faithful and the only way to experience fullness in life and in eternity.
