Laura DiAnn Ervin, 53, of Midland, passed away at her home on Saturday, April 8, 2023 surrounded by her family. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 5:00PM-7:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10:00AM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel. Burial will follow at American Heritage Cemetery in Midland with graveside service at 11:30AM.
DiAnn was born on September 24, 1969 to Robert Lee Singleton Jr and Nona Carrol Slaughter (nee Norris) in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She attended Midland College studying accounting, and in 2006 she became an MC employee working in the business office. She enjoyed genealogy, geocaching, romance movies, dancing, online card games, and Pokemon Go, reaching the highest level. DiAnn enjoyed going on cruises, visiting many destinations in the Caribbean and Aruba. She married Don Ervin in 2008 in Maui, Hawaii, and they toured Honolulu and Pearl Harbor on Oahu. DiAnn greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She retired from Midland College in April 2021.
DiAnn is survived by her husband, Don Ervin; three sons and seven grandchildren , Ross Leon Howell (Kelsey) and children Malichi Howell, Allison Howell, and Katelyn Howell; John David Howell and children Zane Howell and Elijah Howell; Johnathan Ezekiel Hearn (Xayide) and children Brycen Hearn and Vera Diann Hearn. She is also survived by a brother Jimmy Gregg; three sisters and seven nieces and nephews, sister Beth Gilbert and daughter Michelle Bradford; sister Karla Williams (Ken) and children Fate Meyer, Jed Sicard, and Chenea Sicard; sister Tina Dawson (Carter) and children Hailey Dawson, Casey Dawson, and Ethan Dawson.
She is preceded in death by her father Robert Lee Singleton Jr.
Pallbearers will be Ross Howell, John Howell, Zeke Hearn, Taylor Ervin, Carter Dawson, and Ethan Dawson.
