Larry Don Hallman, 41, died unexpectedly, Saturday, October 1, 2011 in Monterrey County, California, near Pebble Beach. Larry is survived by his wife, Tina Hallman, daughter Megan Hallman, mother Jean Hallman, sister Cynthia Graham, brother Gerry Hallman, sister Caryl Burke and aunt Juanice Taylor.Larry was born March 9th, 1970 in Midland, Texas to Gerald and Jean Hallman. He attended High School in Brownfield, Texas and then went on to Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where in 1992, he earned his bachelors degree in marketing. On November 30th, 1991, Larry married the love of his life Tina Braden. The two were married for twenty years. In 1993, Larry and Tina were blessed with their beautiful daughter Megan. One of Larry's proudest moments came earlier this year when his daughter Megan was accepted to Texas Tech University.Larry leaves behind many friends and acquaintances that loved this "gentle giant". Aside from Larry's love of family and friends he also enjoyed hunting and sports, golf in particular. His final triumph before he left this life was a birdie on hole #18 at Pebble Beach. With a clenched fist he said, "a birdie at Pebble on 18 baby"! For those that were with him that day, a special bond was sealed.Services for Larry have been entrusted to Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland, Texas. Honorary Pallbearers are Dieter Gerstenberger, Jay Nabors, Bobby Schwarz, Trey Schwarz and Tate Schwarz. A public viewing will be held Thursday, October 6th, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 PM. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home located at 3800 N. Big Spring St. in Midland, Texas, 79705. Services will be held Friday, October 7th, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Luke's Methodist Church located at 3011 W. Kansas St., Midland, Texas, 79701. A "Celebration of Life" memorial will be held Friday, October 7th, 2011 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Odessa Country Club located at #1 Fairway Dr., Odessa, Texas, 79765.With Larry's life cut short, his last desire would have been to see his daughter graduate college. The family asks that in lieu of flowers and gifts, that contributions be made to The Megan Hallman Education Account at Western National Bank.Larry will be missed greatly and respected equally.
