Larry Darby, 56, of Midland, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus, Monday, May 30, 2011. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Stonegate Fellowship. Larry was born April 22, 1955 in Lamesa to Joan and J.E. Darby. He grew up in Midland, graduating from Midland High School in 1973. He worked for Honda of Midland as a mechanic. He loved to play guitar and build his own instruments. He also loved woodworking and gardening.Larry loved his family. He was very generous and helpful to those in need. He had a great sense of humor.Survivors include wife, Sabrina of Midland; children, Andrea Morris and husband Dale, Bailey Stevenson and Brison Flitcraft, all of Midland; sisters, Madonna Apple and husband Bob of Spring, Laura Grimes and husband Robert and Cindy St. John, all of Midland; grandchildren, Daegan Morris and Mia Morris; nieces and nephews, Brian Ridgell and wife Angela, Bobby Apple and wife Karin, Jennifer Grimes, Robert Grimes and wife Bobbie, Danya Jennings, Becca St. John and David St. John, and Derek Ramsey; and mother-in-law, Wanda Key.He was preceded in death by his parents, Hack and Joan Riley.
