Lanell K. Sauer, 68, of Stanton, Texas went to Heaven on Thursday, October 21, 2021 surrounded by her family.
Lanell was born on October 23, 1952 to Joy and Richard Bonrud in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Lanell graduated from Lincoln High School in 1970, one year early.
The thing she loved more than anything was being a mom and she desired to be one early on in her life.
She also had a love for all animals, but most of all horses. She was a barrel racer for many years. She desired to pass her love for animals to her children and grandchildren.
Lanell was also a devoted Christian woman, and she spent her life witnessing to everyone she met. She and her husband Clarence were active in ministering to others throughout their lives and while moving around the country. Lanell even continued to minister, as she battled cancer, to those she met at oncology or those she met in her day to day life. She instilled the love for God in her daughters and grandchildren. She had such a special touch on people that many people call and consider her their Mom.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Clarence Sauer. Her daughters, Jodi Lumby of Tulsa, OK, Kristi Grebeck (Brian) of Midland, TX, Staci Lumby of Midland, TX, Kelsey Sauer (Josh) of Midland, TX, Kylie Sauer of Midland, TX and Jana True (Spencer) of Midland, TX. Her 12 grandchildren: Alex, Sean, Sierra, Sequoyia, Cody, Gunnar, Jordyn, Brinley, Teaghan, Ryder, Nash and Aaron. Her Great grandchildren, Charleigh, Ember and Marlowe. Her Mother Joy Ingalls and her 5 siblings Leslee, Larry, Lynn, Lonny and Lee.
She is preceded in death by her father Richard Bonrud, one infant child, and one granddaughter Eternity.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 10:00AM at Hosanna Christian Fellowship in Stanton, TX. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton, TX.
