Dear Taylor Family,
Our hearts are so sad at the passing of Kevin. I knew Kevin back during our college days. He had such a wonderful laugh! He had a way of making us all laugh out loud and helped us get through those crazy days. We will pray for your family during this time.
Taylor family I am so sorry to hear of Coach Taylor's passing He was my son's and my daughter's coach at Bonham. He was such a sweet quiet man. My daughter loved how he would always call her by her nickname(Cookie). He was at every function at Bonham even after he retired. Your son Karson is good friends with my Isabella. She will be there for him to help his grieving. He is at rest with the Good Lord watching over you all and his students My prayers are with you❤ ~RODRIGUEZ FAMILY ~
Taylor Family,It was such a pleasure to work with Kevin for 16 years at Bonham. Over those years, he went from a co-worker to a friend to a supportive parent as I have been blessed to teach all the Taylor kids. Kevin had a way of making a tense situation more bearable with his dry wit. Even if many of the times I had to ask if he was joking or serious. Over time I learned how to read him, and that made our conversations much more enjoyable. He will me missed. All of you are in my prayers as you grieve your husband, father, son, brother and uncle. Words will never be enough but know that Kevin’s life has touched thousands of people and his kindness and compassion will carry on through those that admired him.
I remember always going to the far end of the field so we could play tackle football which was against the rules. I also remember coach Pitts who would say if you don’t catch this pass you’re getting licks. He would throw impossible throws but sometimes Kevin would still find a way to catch it.
Kevin lived on Parkdale a few houses from me. He was a friend through my childhood. He was born December 15, 1964 I was born December 16,1964. We went to Henderson elementary, Alamo junior high,Lee Freshman, and Robert E Lee High. We both became teachers after, but I only substitute taught. We were both Christian . I remember a field trip to the planetarium they played the evolution story and Kevin spoke up loudly God Did it. I was so impressed. He had such a quiet nature but he stood up for his beliefs. I remember a really rude substitute who said something he didn’t agree with he stood his ground and got so mad he left school and went home. Another time there was a wildfire that reached the school. We evacuated and once again Kevin went home against teachers orders. The best is a story my brother told me. Kevin was having a difficult teaching day he put on his chinaman hat got on his bicycle and told my brother “I Quit!” And rode home. The principal walked to his house knocked on his door and talked him into coming back. He was a great athlete and a great person I was lucky to call friend. My heart is broken.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
thank you for being my favorite 4th and 5th grade P.E. teacher it was fun having you there with us.
I worked with Kevin but at a different school. Loved chatting with him at PE inservices. What a great guy. His Co-teacher and my best friend both told me a story I recite to many other educators to this day. It is a tale of Kevin not being happy with a decision by his Administration at his school. Legend has it he put on a Sombrero and in protest to the Administration's decision, rode off on his bicycle. LEGEND!
Nelfa, my heart breaks for you and your children as well as for all of Kevin’s family. My prayer is for the peace and comfort that only God can provide. I have many fond memories of time spent with Kevin and his family and have enjoyed keeping up with your children and their activities. Kevin will be missed by so many but especially by you and the children. Please know I love you all.
The whole family is in my prayers and thoughts. He was one of the greatest teachers I have ever known. After talking to him not too long ago we had figured out I was his student his first year as a teacher. He will be missed.
Nelfa, I am so sorry for your loss. Your husband was such an amazing person. My kids were blessed to have him as a teacher as was I. He was my teacher when I was in school as well and even then he was a joy to be around. Marisa was blessed to always have him by her side to cheer her on in her sports and he was always there to encourage her. We will forever miss his presence. I will continue to keep you and your children in my prayers.
Pam and John, I’m sincerely praying for you and your family. My heart breaks for you, but I KNOW God can bring all of you through this! Your brother is at peace now, and God can give your family peace, as well. Nancy Mabry (used to work at Baze Animal Clinic)

We live a block away from Bonham and all of our three children went there, He watched all her children grow up, my daughter is now taking her daughter to Bonham and guess who her coach was, We were so happy to see coach Taylor, we always saw him riding his bike and always waved at him, he was such a nice man and will truly be missed. My sincere condolences to his family, his wife and children and his parents, and siblings.
My prayers, friendship and love surround you at the death of your much loved son, Kevin. God's love and strength will carry you through your sorrow and He will never leave your side. His promises never falter.
Taylor Family,I don't have the words to express what I am feeling right now. Your family has been a staple in education and in the PTA. I am so thankful that my kids got to grow up with Kevin as their Coach. Nelfa, please know that we love you and we are here for you and your family. I pray for comfort for you all during this hard time.
Sending love to your family. Praying for comfort and strength for all of you at this sad time.
My thoughts go out to Kevin's children, who will have a rough road ahead, adjusting to life without their father. Fortunately, Kevin's family will be highly supportive, and the children will benefit from the love and care that they provide.
