Kaden Ray Barron was born April 7, 2006 and was called home to Heaven March 11, 2025.
Kaden was our rainbow baby, a ray of sunshine! After many years of fertility struggle and loss, God blessed us with a beautiful, little butterball and we were in love. Kaden spent his first years “living the dream” at Colorado City lake. He experienced his first boat ride at one month old and loved being on the water the rest of his life. He attended preschool in Colorado City making some of the sweetest friends. He was loved by many in Colorado City who treated him as their own. We moved from Colorado City to Midland area when it was time for Kaden to start school. We chose Greenwood for the smaller community and school district. Kaden excelled in school and he never struggled unless he just didn’t want to do the assignment. He played almost every sport, developing life long friendships that he cherished. These friends have been a source of great comfort for our family: sharing their stories, laughter and love to ease the family’s heart ache. Our family has also been involved with the organization Indian Guides and Indian Princesses. Being apart of the Pawnee Tribe allowed Kaden to enjoy many camping trips, pine car derbies, rocket launches and BB Gun contests. Most importantly Kaden was able to enjoy these times with lifelong friends he met along with way. Kaden attended Greenwood High School, but ended up finishing his schooling through homeschool. GHS Class of 2024 loved him no matter where he attended school and his classmates have shown their love and support for Kaden and our family during this difficult time. Kaden loved drawing, building with Legos, riding bikes (motorcycles) and playing video games online, meeting two of his best friends through online chat. During his early teens, Kaden discovered that he loved making his own money-working at several jobs before landing a job at Discount Tire. He quickly progressed from working in the shop to assistant manager in charge of work flow. He loved working at Discount Tire, enjoyed his fellow co-workers and most days-liked the customers too. Kaden was the oldest of 4 siblings and a born leader: bossing people around came naturally to him in everything he did. Kaden lived life to the fullest and on his own terms, making us proud of all that he accomplished in his short life. Our “sunshine” touched many lives, more than we ever realized, and he will be truly missed. Kaden’s time on Earth was short. He packed a lot of life into only 18 years, but his purpose here was complete. Jesus called him home and although we are heartbroken, we continue to trust in the Lord and believe that God’s will be done even when it’s hard to understand.
We appreciate the overwhelming outpouring of love from Kaden’s friends.
