Julie Frizzell Thomas

Julie Frizzell Thomas, 80 of Midland, passed away October 7, 2015. Julie was born in Knox City, Texas on September 29, 1935, to Kay and Dr. Thomas Paul Frizzell. Julie was an active volunteer in local organizations and had many friends in the community. She was a woman of strong faith and she adored her family.She is survived by daughters, Sarah Meinzer and Paula Douglas and husband, Gary, and son, Howard Thomas and wife, Susie, all of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Hunter Meinzer and wife, Alicia of Weatherford, Texas, Pate Meinzer and wife, Brittnay of Benjamin, Texas, Elizabeth Gilmour and husband, Jess, Michael Thomas, Marissa Martin and husband, Justin, all of Midland, Texas; seven great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews along with her two sisters in life, Emily Jennings and Zena Sikes.Julie was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Thomas in January 2010, her parents and two brothers.A private family memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Midland.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Midland Animal Shelter Adoptables (MASA) or Hospice of Midland.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory of Midland.
