Juanita “Janie” Ozuna-Mata, 58 of Midland TX, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021. A viewing will be held from 1:00pm – 9:00pm on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Viewing on Monday, 8am – 9pm September 20, 2021 with a Rosary recited at 7:00 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel. Mass will be held at 10:00am Tuesday, September 21,2021 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Janie was born on July 16, 1963 in Othello, Washington to Benito G. & Francis V. Ozuna. Janie was the oldest of five children. She graduated from Midland High School in 1983 and attended Midland College. Janie was a successful business owner. She operated J & G Wireless Communications, Addie’s Diner and Addie’s Food Truck. Janie knew no stranger; she helped everyone that crossed her path. Every year for Thanksgiving she would open up Addie’s Dinner and feed the less fortunate. Janie had a heart of gold. Janie knew how to light up a room with her smile & laughter. Even though life gave Janie lemons she always made the best lemonade, without a doubt.
Janie married the love of her life Remigio Mata on September 22, 2010. Janie’s daughters Natalie, Nicole and her grandchildren Addison, Aubrey and Josiah were her everything. Janie was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt and Nana.
Janie is survived by her husband Remigio Mata. Her daughters Natalie F. Garcia ( Rigo) Nicole E. Garcia (Blanca) her grandchildren Addison DeLaO, Aubrey DeLaO, and Josiah DeLaO. Her sibling’s
