Mrs Lewis was a pleasure to have at Dora Roberts Wellness for many years. Her granddaughter in law would bring her to work out. I know she is home with her Savior.

My precious Sweetmaw….I’m so beyond blessed to have had you as my grandmother. I’m even more thankful for the last few days that I was able to spend with you by myself reflecting on memories and wonderful times that I’ve had with you growing up. The most important was you and Papa providing a strong Christian foundation so that we had what we needed to assure ourselves eternity in Heaven one day. Sunday lunches at your house and big holiday gatherings that resulted in the amazing smells of your fantastic cooking. There’s nothing better. Sitting with you as you sewed, watching you do your hair and trying to do my own. Wanting to make you proud and anxiously showing you that I taught myself how to French braid my own hair. I loved seeing your smile. There was nothing in the world like going to Sweetmaw’s and seeing your beautiful face with that smile that was ALWAYS there! I’ll always strive to make you proud until I see you again one day. Thank you for the gift of your final days with me. I’ll forever be grateful that I share that with you. I love you Sweetmaw!

Our deepest condolences to the family for your loss. I was lucky enough to have her in my life for 12yrs, my daughter’s were blessed to have Sweetmaw as their great grandmother. I owe so many Thank You’s to Sweetmaw for showing me what family get together’s truly meant, what holiday’s should be with family, how to cook (your lemon pound cake was my absolute favorite & still is to this day and your green beans), what family vacation’s were meant to be like and showing all of us how to be strong in our faith even on our darkest days and always to believe in the Lord no matter what is going on in our lives and around us. You taught me and your great granddaughter’s so much. You never judged anyone, you never spoke ill about anyone, your home was always opened to anyone, filled with so much life, laughter, love, compassion and always something warm to eat. I’ll forever cherish the memories I hold close to my heart and all that you taught me. YOU WERE ONE OF A KIND. You were everyone’s, Sweetmaw. Your name everyone called you was very fitting for the kindest, purest, precious & sweetest soul on this earth. Heaven gained a precious Angel. I know there is a huge celebration in Heaven since you’ve arrived, I can only imagine. ❤️

What a blessing it was to have her as my grandmother. Living with her for 9 years made her more like a mom. She loved the Lord and instilled values in us all to follow and emulate. I don't know where I would be without having had her in my life. She was truly loved by all. What rejoicing there was to be heard when she was welcomed through Heaven's gates. And anyone needing their ears lowered, she was ready with scissors and clippers in hand❤️. Her legacy will never die and she will sorely missed.
