Jolene Bennett, 96, of Big Spring, went to be with her Lord, March 31, 2015. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park, Big Spring with Rick Cunningham, officiating.Mable Jolene was born January 21, 1919 to Charley Storey Taylor and Lora Etta Carter Taylor. Jolene was one of seven children. She married Roy Cecil Bennett May 11, 1935. They were parents to two daughters, Loretta and Bobbie.Jolene was an accomplished fabric artist. Her quilts, dolls, and clothing are still on display in many homes. Roy and Jolene owned and operated Jolene's Antiques. She was an astute business woman and had an eye for the finest. She was a certified antique appraiser and judged many county fairs. Jolene's girls were her pride and joy. Her six grandchildren adored her and loved to come and stay in her home. The great and great great grandchildren followed in their parents footsteps in their love for Mama Jo.She is survived by a brother, Earl Taylor; a sister, Maudelle Poyner; two daughters, Loretta Farquhar and husband, Ron and Bobbie Wooten and husband, Gerald and her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by husband, Roy Bennett, August 12, 1988, three sisters and one brother.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
