Johnny Jay Satterfield, a devout Christian man and honorable veteran of the National Guard and the United States Army Reserves, has met his Lord and Savior at the age of 51 years. He died peacefully on the morning of March 16, 2023 with his devoted wife of 33 years Christine M Satterfield at his side.
Jay was born September 24, 1971 in Austin, Texas. He planted his roots in Midland, Texas where he built and raised a beautiful family centered around his faith. His world revolved around God and his family.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his father and step-mother, Johnny M and Jeannie K Satterfield; 3 children, Justin W Satterfield married to Charlene L Satterfield, Ashlie A Brown married to Ray T Brown III, and Austin B Satterfield; 5 grandchildren, Jayden C Satterfield, Jayce W B Satterfield, Sorin M Grunow, Makayla C Satterfield, and Ray G Brown; 3 siblings, Robin M Bennett married to Bill D Bennett, Chantilly K Ewing, and Sterling J Satterfield married to Emily D Satterfield; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and numerous friends.
Jay was reunited with his mother Donna J Earl (Monrad), sister Connie L Satterfield, and brother-in-law Coleman B Ewing at Heaven’s gates.
The family would love your attendance at a Celebration of Life taking place at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM followed by a graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Park.
