Johnnie Stockstill, 75 of Stanton, died on Thursday, July 10, 2003, in a Stanton nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, July 14, 2003 at the First Baptist Church Stanton with Mike Harris, minister, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery Stanton. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 13, 2003 from 4 PM to 5 PM at the funeral home. She was born on June 14, 1928, in Stanton, Texas and married Henry Houston on September 22, 1946 in Stanton, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1948. Bitty was the daughter of Morris and Johnnie Zimmerman. She grew up in Stanton and graduated High School in Stanton. She had lived in Monahans for seventeen and a half years, returning to Stanton in 1968. She had worked at Stanton Drug for a number of years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Morris Wayne Stockstill of Las Vegas, Nevada her daughter and son in law, Betty Sue and Bill Rogers of Alvin; one sister, Sue Branam of Monahans; one brother, Hardin Zimmerman of Midland, and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family suggests memorials be made to Home Hospice, 1802 W.
