John “Tiny” Williams, 58, of Midland, passed away on December 20, 2013 in Midland TX.The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 2:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel with Pastor Dean Cook officiating.John was born in Neches TX on October 2, 1955. He graduated from Neches High School where he played basketball and ran track. He moved to Midland and worked for McClatchy Brothers Trucking for over 25 years until he retired. He loved to watch drag racing and attend races at Penwell and dreamed of owning his own when he retired. John is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Williams; his sisters: Alice Faye Golightly of Levelland; Clara Jean Young of Midland; Bettie Lockridge of Levelland; Hellen Ann Martin of Midland; Ann Veronica Williams of Neches; his uncle, Richard Williams of Houston, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.John is preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Williams and his father, L.T. Williams.All of those that knew “Tiny” knew him as a worker and worked while sick and other ailments but he continued on no matter the obstacle. He was and is an amazing man that cared for friends and his family. We will miss his amazing smile and how he made everyone laugh! John “Tiny” Williams will be missed. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be donated to the National Kidney Foundation, 2200 W.
