John D. Robertson, 95, of Big Spring, died Monday, December 31, 2018 in a local hospital. No services are planned at this time.He was born march 31, 1923 in Ashdown, Arkansas and married Mary Ruth Dozier March 11, 1946 in Johnson City, Texas. She preceded him in death August 22, 2010.John came to big Spring in 1927. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II as a navigator on the B-17 and flew 29 missions. He then worked at Cosden as a carpenter for 29 years.Survivors include one daughter, Linda Zwelling; one son, Walter Robertson; two granddaughters, Ryan and husband Chris and Molly and husband, Troy; and three great-grandchildren, Thor, Lynx and Wade.He was also preceded in death by his parents.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory.
