John Lamar Bullard, 51, of Midland, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 1:00PM with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel. The family and friends will be raising a glass to John at their home after the service.
John was born on November 25, 1970 to Melba (Bonnie) and Jimmy L. Bullard in Atlanta, Georgia. John grew up in Fitzgerald, Georgia. Graduating from Fitzgerald High School in 1989. He went on to complete a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1994. Finally John received his Masters in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University in 2017.
John had worked in the Oil and Gas Industry with multiple companies since 1994, but he was petro physicist at EOG Resources for the last 5 years, his dream job.
John had been a Master Scuba diver since 1997 and was fortunate to have dove most of the major reefs around the world. John was passionate about travel and experiencing as much of the world as possible. With his loving wife of 27 years by his side, together they lived on 4 different continents and visited more than 50 countries.
John is survived by wife Ashley Johnson Bullard, son Gareth Bullard, his girls, Elizabeth Johnson and Mary Grace Johnson, his other parents Richard and Marguerite Johnson, his great nephew Greyson Holcomb, and many amazing cousins, aunts, and uncles by birth and by marriage. He is preceded in death by his parents Jimmy and Bonnie Bullard of Fitzgerald, Georgia.
