Joe Dean Lasater, 50, of Big Spring, died on Saturday, August 13, 2011, at his residence. Funeral services for Joe Dean and his father, Larry Dean Lasater who also died on Saturday, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Midland with Rev. Herbert Crisp, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Big Spring.Joe was born on June 28, 1961, in Gorman, Texas and moved to Midland with his family. He married Kristen Schrecengost on July 15, 2006 in Big Spring. Joe was employed as electrical foreman at Tessco Electric in Snyder. He loved to go fishing, especially with his son, Austin, and longtime friend, Keith Grant. Survivors include his wife, Kristen Lasater of Big Spring; one son, Austin Lasater of Big Spring; three daughters, Amanda Lasater of Midland; Misty Lasater and Jayme Johnson both of Big Spring; one step daughter, McKenzie Schrecengost of Big Spring; seven grandchildren, Kaylynn, Shealy, and Reagan Culver all of Midland, Erynn Lasater, Jadon Coker, Kyleigh and Toby Johnson all of Big Spring; three brothers, Robert Lasater and wife, Traci of San Angelo; Lonnie Lasater and Paul (P.D.) Lasater both of Midland; one brother-in-law, Ethan Schrecengost and wife, Glenda; one sister-in-law, Magen Williamson and husband, Michael; mother-in-law, Tammy Schrecengost; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Dean and Barbara (Greene) Lasater, and one son, Billy Joe Lasater. Pallbearers are Michael Williamson, Curtis Culver, Steven Johnson, Caleb Lasater, Spencer Lasater, and Brian Grant.
