Jimmy Ray Willis, Jr. 53, of Big Spring, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022 at his home. Born December 3, 1969 in Monahans, Texas, he was the son of the late Jimmy Ray Willis, Sr. and Beverly Pearson. As a young man, Jimmy had worked alongside his father delivering wood. He had also hauled cars and worked in the oil field. Jimmy had a great sense of humor, always making people laugh, and he could sell you anything. He had a gift of gab. For the past several years he had been unable to work due to his declining health. He was a Christian and had a love of animals and children. He was “big hearted” but was also known to speak his mind when given the chance. He had lived in Big Spring for the past 20 years.
Jimmy is survived by a brother, William Willis of Arkansas; several cousins, including Buck Chappell of Big Spring; his girlfriend and life partner Carlene Joy Rose; and her girls who thought of him as a good “step-father”.
