Jimmy Moore, 46, of Garden City, Texas, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021.
Graveside service will be at 2 pm Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Belvedere Memorial Park in San Angelo, Texas.
Jimmy was born January 13, 1975, in San Antonio, Texas, to May (Lewis) Moore and Jim Moore. He attended Midland Lee High School, developing a close group of friends held near and dear to his heart to this day.
He began his career in the office supply and office furniture industry when he was 18. Through hard work, dedication and as an amazing salesman, he built a successful career. He opened Moore Office Supplies in 2009 in Big Spring quickly adding locations in Midland and San Angelo and servicing all areas in between. He had a great amount of pride in business ownership and was well known and liked in the community. His family will continue his legacy and honor him through his business, as it was such an important part of his life.
He married Sharon (Johnston) Moore on February 14, 1999. They spent 22 wonderful years together raising two sons. They worked together, built a life in Garden City, traveled and spent countless lawn chair hours at Bull Run in Mertzon and the Cat Shack at Lake Ivie. Jimmy most recently became Grandpap to granddaughter Alice, and was excitedly waiting the birth of his second grandchild this fall.
Jimmy enjoyed telling stories about hunting and fishing almost as much as hunting and fishing. His times at deer camp and fishing with his friends were some of his best memories. Hunting with his sons and nephew were experiences they will never forget because Jimmy was always more excited than they were.
He was a Big Spring Cowboy Reunion and Rodeo board member, and very honored to do so. It was an important commitment for him, and the Big Spring Rodeo was something he looked forward to every year.
Jimmy was one-of-a-kind, and will not be forgotten. He was a loving husband, father, Grandpap, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jamie Moore, on September 11, 2017.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Big Spring Cowboy Reunion and Rodeo Board.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Sharon, of Garden City; son, Jimmy “LJ” Moore, of San Angelo; son, Joseph and wife Nikki McLaren of Brookesmith; mother, May Moore of Midland; father, Jim Moore and wife Brenda of Brownwood; sister, Melissa Moore of Midland; nephew, Dylan Hill of Midland; nieces, Madi Hill of Midland and Hailey Whitley of Lubbock; granddaughter, Alice McLaren of Brookesmith; many loved aunts, uncles and cousins and many close personal friends.
