Jimmy Hopper, 64, of Big Spring, died Monday, December 16, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Derrick Looney, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Jimmy was born October 27, 1949 in Hobbs, New Mexico. He was a Master Carpenter in both residential and commercial buildings. He also loved building custom cars and cruising with his car club. Most of all, he loved being \Pepaw\. He is survived by one daughter, Shonda Sparks and husband, Wes, of Mertzon; two sons, JaCoby Hopper and wife, Stephanie of Big Spring, and Jarrett Hopper and wife, Mindy of Grand Prairie; his parents, Billie and Vonnie Hopper of Big Spring; grandchildren, Dawson and Maci Sparks, M'Kenna and Jackson Hopper, and Stella Hopper; one sister, Debbie Elliott and husband, Jace of Big Spring; one nephew, Cory Elliott and wife, Andrea of Midland, and two aunts, Jane Moore and Joyce Wash both of Big Spring. Pallbearers will be Casey Henry, Josh Bales, Kyle Grissam, Mike Daniels, Sam Gonzales and Dustin Stewart. Honorary pallbearers will be Wes Sparks, Jace Elliott, Cory Elliott, Chad Wash, Danny Westbrook and the Freaks of Nature Car Club.
